Day 5 of our Wilpena expidition

Well another hard day at the office spent the morning relaxing with a few friends. We then decided that we had had enough of hard work and went for a drive to Appealinna Cultural Heritage site, looking at the buildings life must have been tough.

On the way back to the caravan park we stopped off at the Stokes Hill Lookout, a bit of a rough road to get to the top but once there you had some fantastic views of the area.

If you think the kangaroos are bad around Swan Hill the bloody emu’s are worse here.

Day 2 and 3

Well we are starting our blog a little late as we are already set up at Wilpena Pound, and already into day 2. This area is fascinating in history and culture, yesterday we went to Hills Homestead where Rob waited while I climbed the last 500mts up to Wangara lookout (nearly had a heart attack), but got some great pictures.

Today we went on a plane ride (that’s right Rob got into a small plane for the first time) she had a ball and wants to do it again. Then in the afternoon we went for a little walk up a dry creek bed to look at some aboriginal petroglyphs (rock carvings).

Tomorrow were off on the road again to see what we can see!
